Right Brain or Left?

Right Brain/ Left Brain Quiz
The higher of these two numbers below indicates which side of your brain has dominance in your life. Realising your right brain/left brain tendancy will help you interact with and to understand others.
Left Brain Dominance: 14(14)
Right Brain Dominance: 16(16)
Right Brain/ Left Brain Quiz

I got this test from Diana Trout's website Hub Bub http://dianatrout.blogspot.com/
I think I knew I was right-brain dominant, but it was fun to take the test anyway.

Dust of Snow Journal

I finished my second journal on Saturday.  This one is bound with the Machine Stitch.  It sort of looks like a stitch done on a sewing machine, but is done by hand.

The signature is made of various colors of Canson Mi Teintes paper.  I will use it mainly with dry media because I don’t think this paper will take watercolor or ink washes all that well.  I like the colors though and I can use pencil, colored pencil, pen & ink, and charcoal.  I think I can stamp images in it too.  We’ll see how it goes.

Doodles

I did this journal page in the first journal I made in the “Making Your Own Journal” online class with Leslie at http://comfortableshoesstudio.com/.  The class has been such great fun and I love her collage covers and binding stitches.

For this doodle page I followed a prompt in Diana Trout’s book, Journal Spilling“Abstract Drawing Game” on page 83. http://www.dianatrout.com/  Lots of fun!  She’s really helped me get over that paralysis that sometimes sets in when I am faced with a blank page (gasp!) in a shiny new blank journal (horrors!).

She also posted some gorgeous photos from a japanese book on her blog, Hub Bub http://www.dianatrout.com/.  I was inspired by the fabric in one photo for some of the patterns on this page.
